Dr Emcy Louw

Dr Emcy is a qualified Family Physician with over 10 years of clinical experience, providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families in Paarl and the surrounding areas.
After graduating from Stellenbosch University in 2015, she completed her internship and community service at Paarl Provincial Hospital, where she developed a lasting connection with the community. She later specialised in Family Medicine, gaining extensive experience across children’s health, women’s health, adult medicine, chronic disease management, mental health, emergency care, and several medical and surgical disciplines.
Today, Dr Emcy works in both the public and private healthcare sectors, combining evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach that focuses on identifying the root cause of illness rather than simply treating symptoms.
She has a particular passion for children’s health, women’s health, chronic disease management, mental health, and geriatric care. To improve access to quality healthcare, she also offers home visits where appropriate.
